Eating Raw

What tips do you have for someone interested in transitioning to a raw vegan lifestyle?

I recommend that you examine WHY you are interested in transitioning to a raw vegan lifestyle. What is it that interests you about this way of eating? Get clear on your “why” and let that motivate you to be consistent in your efforts. I also recommend that you MOVE your body on a daily basis. Find a form of exercise that excites you and feels good. It is important that you are active so that you have an appetite to consume the abundance of fresh fruits and veggies that your body needs to function at its optimal level. Another thing that I suggest is that you make your meals visually appealing! A raw vegan diet can get boring real fast if you don’t switch up your cutting methods or preparation methods or combinations of foods. So switch it up often and prepare your meals so that they look nice and pretty (this is a form of self-love). Also… Be mindful. Listen to your body. If you are hungry, eat. If you are not hungry, don’t force yourself to eat. If you want more fruit, eat more fruit. If you want more veggies, eat more veggies. There is so much that I could say about getting started on the raw vegan lifestyle, but I will leave you with this… be OKAY with not getting it “right” the first time around. This diet is most likely VERY different from the diet that you were raised on as a young child. It is going to take time to get used to this new way of eating. Be easy on yourself and be persistent in your efforts.
